put it this way the timing kit dose`nt lie, back in the summer i was at mallory on a test session,

first session out i did 25 mins at my limit , pushing 110% every lap. had 25 mins rest went back out, i thought i was on it and putting in good laps times as it felt as fast if not faster as the first session, But i was 3 seconds a lap slower and thats a fooking lot a mallory.

So i guess thats where fitness comes in.

yeah i can appreciate that, cardio fitness is paramount, strength dont come into it really, but yeah i do agree i know when i been off a bike for a while by the amount of aches i feel after the track day

Not just cardio, if I'd not been doing weights over winter, all that really heavy braking on the first trackday of the year always left my arms feeling well & truly beasted by the end of the day.

suppose it all depends how physical your job is day to day, if you work in an office i can see the physical side of training needed but if u have a pysical job then its just cardio to work on
