been all round europe on mine, generally with my wife on the back and have got to say no problems for me but she found the back seat a bit slippy.  I used a tank bag, some paniers and a ruck sack, and when i am touring alone i sometimes put the seat hump bag on as well, totally enuff space to stick a small tent in etc, if on the other hand you are intending on using a caravan stick with the bmw  [whistle]

Done it last August to southern spain, 4000 miles in 10 days:

The bag is from bags connection, and it can carry alot of stuff and is very stable with it on the bike.

:?: :?: :?: Nick Sanders rode his 35000 miles across 41 countries including 3 desserts and the bike survived so how come your mates was 'fecked' after a short ride back from Croatia   :dontknow:

Yep very stable even at high high speeds. I got the bag after seeing it on this site before the trip, very glad i did. As i done a scotland coast tour with a backpack for 5 days and that was a nightmare, even although it was a kriega it was just far too heavily loaded up.
