Replacement rear indicators

Well following on from my mould in my 58 plate rear indicators supplying dealer phoned this am to say they had replacements in and could fit this afternoon. Good day so far, took cover of bike then off paddock stand moved under drive thru went back to move paddock stand heard evil crash. Bike had fallen off side stand now laying on its side. You know that cold sick feeling you get!!!   took couple of attempts to get her back upright strange how heavy they feel. looked in horror at damage grazed engine casing smashed near side mirror bent cluch lever looks like boomerang bar end cut up and front and rear foot peg took the brunt.  then sore black fairing panel buggered.  Did I say i was having a ggo day, well rode her to Laguna and got indicators changed didnt seem that important now.  But hey could have been worse think i will be scouring e-bay for few bits, so now got a bit of a project to tackle before the good weather which i think is just around the corner.  Stay safe and always check that stand is ok before walking away.

Kin 'ell that's bad news, are they still having sidestand issues with Kwaks?

Reckon it's gonna have to be a blade then for 09

Reckon it's gonna have to be a blade then for 09

yea if your only interested in the side stand then the blade may be the choice for you, or even better a goldwing [rofl]

bollox, sorry to hear that pal, I remember the day my ZXR750 fell over and missed my GPZ9 by a couple of inches and yes the sick feeling that it should never have happened. I recall on here that quite a few of the guys had issues with the D 'Wheelbarrow' models falling over due to crap stands  but haven't heard of any other 08's falling like that

Gutted for you pal  :-(  have a bhp to cheer you up

The 07 - 08 zx6's  were falling over as well

shit bad news that but its does happen with a few modern bikes, ducatis are the worst, gotta make sure the stand is fully forward and the bars fully to the left.

Yeah but they are a flip-up design on Dukes, so that as soon as you get the bike upright it retracts. Still a stupid idea though.
Kawasaki's was just bad engineering, the stand was either too long or they lowered the rear ride height
