Couldnt agree more. All the arguments against doing it that way can be countered by the displaying of an MOT disc instead of a tax disc.

If you do it online you get an e-mail confirmation with a reference number. Should also get written confirmation through the post. Do mine every year via t'internet not had any issues.

There is no real argument against a nymore,the insurance and mot details are now on databases, no need to display anything aprt from a number plate

Its a long shot, but have a look through you recieved mail or inbox around the time you declared SORN, you may have the confirmation email with the Ref number on it.
