I got pulled for 103 on new years eve a few years ago and got let off with a fine and three points, similar scenario, empty motorway and not riding like a loon.  He did moan about the stench of burnt oil in his Vectra though [rofl]

Which brings me round to the hypocrisy of it all, my R1 at 103 is running at approx 60% of it's design performance, a 1.8 Vecra automatic trying to catch someone doing 103 is probaby running at 95% of it's design performance, so which one is the danger?

I got pulled last year on my 10R on the M5 near Bridgewater by a copper in a 3 series BMW estate, got me at an average of 104mph over 5 miles, he was as good as gold and let me off completely. ...............(Had to let him suck me off though) which I must admit I didn't enjoy).....
However, I've still got a clean license for it..
