10r info needed
« on: December 29, 2008, 07:27:28 AM »

Ok i know these question must have been asked a million times so bear with me........

Im looking into getting a 04-05 zx10r in the next few months so can someone tell me:

- Common problems?
- Any recalls?
- Im told a steering damper is a must, any other common mods?
- Anything to avoid?
- There isnt a hyanes for it is there so is the factory workshop manual comprehensive enough?
- Any other important info?

Thanks

check the frame spars for damage, especially under the tank along the top and bottom seams as they split in an accident

steering damper yes a must really

no problems that I can recall so just the usual stuff realy and there factory manual is fine, there's a pdf upload on the site too  :headbang:

the only recall I remember is the front wheel on the c1H (2004)

with regard to mods there are plennty and the next after a steering damper is a Brembo master cylinder for the front brake  :icon_thumright:

and yes GRNINJA has a lovely one for sale

some good tyres won`t go a miss, and if your a small fella you would need to look at getting a new shocker to soften er up a bit......... :icon_thumright:

but like everyone else has said GRNINJA has a top bike for sale and it has all the bit and bobs allready on it,,,,,,,,, :headbang:
