Video Editing
« on: December 16, 2008, 09:05:41 PM »

I'm sure there must be a few on here who can help me out with this. I have digital video footage which I want to speed up 1.5x and then add in some music on the top of it. What software can I use to do this without speeding up the music?

Hi,
Yep it works.
Here is a link with a sample. Quality is poor due to me selecting the wrong format for the file but you can do just about anything with the Pinnacle Studio software, picture & sound. Great for editing all the stuff you don't need from holiday movies etc.

Your right Hammy, it works with Windows movie maker too but the pinnacle software give great results. It gives you full dvd quality. If you can pick it up on a deal it is worth the money, you can do pretty much anything with the editing software. I used the windows until a mate done a disc for me on his system using the pinnacle, then I was sold.  :icon_thumright:

I've got Pinnacle as well but it is a pig till you get used to it. If its only something quick then windows is good enough

Well done Dave,
If you are half decent with I.T. then you'll get a lot out of it. I struggle with computers but still get by with this program.
My only real problem was getting it installed and registered properly with all the latest patches and stuff as i am running windows vista. Using and editing it is not as straightforward as windows media but the results are way better when you you get the hang of it.
Cheers.  :icon_thumright:

Without making a fuss and everything - there are ways of getting software like this freer than paying for it ... [whistle]
