I'm exactly the same Liam - I don't bother doing Donny or Brands during the summer. I try and go to Cadwell or Snetterton or Anglesey

its cause the tracks rent them cheaper in the winter.... so running costs arn't the same..... its all about supply and demand ...

they know more demand in the summer so prices go up, people less likely to do winter so they put the price of the track down... simple as that...  :icon_thumleft:

Must be great travelling from Taunton. We have a good 2hour drive just to get to there on the way up from North Cornwall. Would love to do Cadwell, Anglesey etc but realistically Donny, Silverstone and Castle Combe are about it without taking 3 days off work.

Castle Coombe isn't a bad circuit it's just the trackdays are badly run.

At least travelling costs will be 30% lower next summer :D

Gonna have to try there next year. A mate of mine goes quite regularly and loves the place. He rides a bright orange k5 gsxr 1000. You may have seen him.
May have to quieten the bike down a bit tho'. I think theyre a bit strict on noise levels.

I don't got there because of the noise restrictions and the very short session times

The coming months will be very interesting regarding costs! The way motorsport sponsors and companies seem to be pulling out,  i wonder if events will be cancelled, club racing i believe was starting to suffer end of this season. Seems talking to regular trackdayers / racers i know they certainly been pullin there belts in since late summer and will be very selective next year!

Do Castle coombe still noise testing at 3/4 RPM a meter away, and whats the pass dB?

95dB i believe. On bikes with stubby or bellypan exhausts this means the noise sensor is a lot closer to the engine and airbox as well, so a lot of bikes fail
