I recall there being a sort of archive site where you could find the detail of an auction where it can't be seen in ebay i.e. it's over 90 days ago, does anyone know what the site is ? :icon_scratch:

Maybe I'm dreaming again but I'm sure that there was a sort of ebay archive auction site somewhere. :dontknow:

The reason is that I'm just wanting to do a little analysis of a guy selling a car to reassure myself that he didn't buy it as a dodgy motor etc.

Paranoid me, oh yes  :icon_thumright:

I'm guessing it was something from the old days  :-(

just checked around and it seems that you have to apply to ebay to request info on any old 'closed' listings  :dontknow:

Some old listing you can just copy and paste the number into the search bar and it will bring it up.

I think that if they are older than 90 days then they are removed and cannot be seen again.

Look at your feedbacks and have a look at the number for the auction, if it's greyed out then it's probably been taken off line and is in the big Ebay archive somewhere.

Aye, looks like after 90 days they go, I just recall another site holding the details of the auctions over 90 days old, looks like it's long gone now, not a problem though   :icon_thumright:

Andy ,

If it smells like shit then it probably is shit mate  [whistle]

There are enough cars out there for the right one to come up eventually - Don't forget mate , you still got the Passat for a good few weeks yet  :icon_thumright:

By the " law of sod " once you have weighed out a couple of grand on a new car , the next week there will be 3 fuckers advertised that are better and for less money  [wall] [wall]
