Not going off any wheels. Just steering angle. As soon as it spinsthe back steps out a little and the steering angle changes. Got the idea from watching my on board footage at donny trackday. The keyfob in the picture stayed absolutely still till i had a little spin up out of the Melbourne Loop, only v small but the key moved in the pic.

How are you going to measure torque?

I used the wrong word when i said torque i think, resistance may have been a more apt word, a simple strain gauge on the rear wheel spindle should be enough to tell you if its spinning or has grip i would think

also if you are not monitoring the wheels then surely there are plenty of times whent he steering angle doesnt change when the back steps out till its way too late save anyway???

The problem is your system is re-active, not pro-active. The bike is already spinning and sliding before it starts to work. If you cut power once the back has stepped out then it could be highside city

No, the steering angle will ALWAYS change the instant traction is lost unless the bike is absolutely upright.

Wheel speed system is also re-active. The same applies. You wouldnt want to cut power, just soften it in proportion to the amount of spin and feed it back in gradually as the bike straightens up.

It's all pretty simple really.

Get an 1198S.

Sorted.

Countersteering is usually done when off the power to get bike to drop into a corner and the steering is only off center for a tiny fraction of a second and then straight again through the corner.

I don't know how you ride but unless you are steering the bike with the rear wheel then you need steering inputs on the way out of a corner

It's reactive to the wheel spinning but it reduces power to prevent a slide. You system needs the bike to slide.

maybe,but i wouldn't trade my 10 in for 1  [rofl]

jamma, tbh,i'd use the time/money on track training as it all sounds a bit hit and miss to me,you never had to tighten your angle coming out of bend to pass a slower rider?

Yeah, iknow, not gonna do it, just kicking an idea around. The electronics of it all is beyond me. Just been looking thru some of my trackday footage (jamma10566 on you tube) and the steering inputs whilst leant over are minimal. That said, im not the quickest rider in the world by a long way but i like to keep it smooth so that may have something to do with it.
And i wouldnt trade for a ducati either.
