Merry Christmas & Happy New year
« on: December 13, 2008, 04:03:36 PM »

Merry Christmas all ( I might as well incorporate Happy New year too, well what the hell)

2008
it's been a decent year and I've enjoyed meeting a load of you guys during the year, my summary of the year goes something like this.

I managed to complete a year in the banking /IT industry which is an achievement in itself

I met a top guy Shrek/Kev and watched/annoyed him several times racing at Oulton and have seen him improve each time and look forward to an even better season next year for him  :icon_thumright:

Had a great day at the NEC show and met a load of you guys, thanks for that.......... pssst Bob you can bloody drink...... it was great to see you all there  :icon_thumright:

Had not enough runs out up here but each one was a great laugh, cheers Chrisblack10R, Whiterabbit, DaveMfox, Phil and of course Jay.......  come on Pat you'll have to come out mid week next summer

I met Silky who made me crease with laughter when he introduced himself when I was admiring his 10 with a 'at least it hasn't got fekking pink wheels'  [rofl] [rofl]

Saw my little lad buy himeself a Zx6 and have been impressed with his riding skills, nice one Jay  :icon_thumright:

Got carried away messing about wheelying this year but loved being an arse, it's the only way  [rofl] [rofl]

Had a grea Dyno day with a fekking big smile when my bike made more power that a 2nd gen and was 169bhp wooooohoooooo  :icon_thumright:

All in all a good year as I have managed to squeeze in loads of DIY and even managed to build a bloody awful excuse of a wall but hey ho, who cares, at least I tried  :icon_thumright:

Next year 2009
my plans are to watch loads of local racing i.e M-X at Hawkstone, lots at Oulton and plenty of other local events, also hoping to get to the IOM for a few days with a few buddies to ride that circuit but away from the event s :icon_thumright: Also looking forward to some bloody site meets so we can all maybe take a weekend camping at an event or something  :icon_thumright:

Need to find a new job too but we'll see how that goes  :icon_thumright:

anyhow, it's been a good year and roll on Christmas and all those beers and chocolates and of course mince pies too.

Take care all

Well said Andy ---- Happy Christmas all and hope everyone on the Forum has a superb 2009----

My wife works in the banking industry and its not easily in the current climate  :dontknow:

I plan to do far more biking things next year, one will be a european trackday and take part in a classic bike event at mallory park as my dad is in the process of building me a proper classic cafe racer  :icon_thumright:

Opps and more off roading

Here's to a nice dry 2009 and an excellent summer.
