maybe i should think about getting stabilisers
« on: December 03, 2008, 09:27:12 AM »

2 off in 3 weeks maybe i should think about getting stabilisers.  I pulled up to the traffic lights, put my foot down, seam to have found the only patch of ice on the road and my foot just slid away from under me.  annoyung thing is i didnt have any crash protectors atm cause mine where wreked and i had ordered more to be fitted this week.  Well long story short i need a new left hand side and belly pan i think, seat unit shatterd, mirror snapped bit of scuffing on the left hand side front fairing

AND most bizarely the bike fell on its left hand side and yet the right hand side of the center fairing next to the screen somehow snapped off,(see pics)

Obviously since it was a 0 speed crash i am fine as are my clothes etc.  But have reaffirmde my belief that when its cold plastics shatter.........

So can anyone tell me the best way to get my plastics replaced?  how much would it cost for original for a start, otherwise i might just get it custom painted or somethign

they are supposed to but certainly not in that case.  It turns out there was a guy from work a few cars behind me when i fell over and he said his car slipped when he went past me so it was pretty bad they didnt have the gritters out at all.
