whats wrong with britain
« on: December 02, 2008, 07:51:04 PM »

was just browsing the bbc when i found this
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/magazine/7746174.stm

Some wifey moaning about her benefit getting cut off soon when neither she nor anyone else in her household has ever worked, moans that no-one has ever given her a job but admits she has never looked for one cause its too hard.

i quote "I'm sorry they have to pay tax money to me. If I could get a job... give me a job then and I'll work, and then they won't have to pay me" and "it's not that easy to get a job straightaway, you've got to write out your CV and everything and then hand it in to place"

these people need to get put down to benefit society or something.

(i feel sorry for the son that was in the army, he jsut has to get his head screwed back on - we've all been thru the depressed waster phase)

They should match the rest of  Europe here.......

Take Spain - I lived there for 12 yrs and rarely did anyone sign including the spanish.

No work - NO DOLE
You work 3 months - 1 months dole
6 months - 2 months dole
12 months - 3 months dole
Over 2 years straight working you get 1 yrs dole OR the whole lot in 1 go to start your own business. But if it goes wrong you get shit all else for another 12months.
NO housing benefit
No council tax benefit (mind you no council tax)

See how quick the unemployment figures drop then.................. [whistle] [whistle] [whistle]

That'd work a treat. Brown should implement that 1st Jan 2009  :icon_thumright:

from what I read there the positive point is that things are due to change for the better which is good news for all the kids in those sort of environments and will hopefully create an end to what has been accepted as normal to date.  Clearly in some areas there have been major issues with unemployment and recalling the news in recent weeks the number of unemployed is increasing rapidly which is awful.

The problem that I see here is that this has been 'normal' for a long time and these families now have to chenge their attitude and lifestyle massively and that's a challenge in that would you want someone working for you who's never worked and doesn't want to work ?

As much as this probable reads that I support these 'layabouts' I most certainly do not, however I do see that there's a long tough road ahead for the country and it's somewhere we have to be ASAP else we will continue to increase taxes on those of us who do work for a living and at some point with an increasing number of 'unemployed' and an ageing population surely what we have had to date simply isn't sustainable any longer

In Poland u get 3 chances  (offers) of jobs when ur on benefits.
If u reject 3rd one u loose right for benefits.
Have to say english society is very demanding. Of coure ment people on benefits.

i have worked 2 and 3 jobs to keep my head above water some times....the only time i asked for a handout was when Canada had a recession in the early 90's and i went 18 months without a full time job...worked for 40 dollars a day to feed my young children and at that time my wife....i hate these freeloaders...we have all kinds of them in Canada...i know of a family who is into it's 3rd generation of social assistance...never worked a day..

and i pay 52% of my pay to the tax man
