Kawasaki don't do themselves any favours, that rear hugger looks like the safety guard on a pro tyre balancing machine!

yes, what is it with zx10r's and huggers?

all was fine with the 04/05 and then on the D model it shrunk to a pointless piece of nothing and now this monstrosity  :icon_scratch:  surely it's an easy piece to design  :dontknow:

Maybe they are doing it deliberately? Are they selling a swanky "official" Carbon fibre acessory version?

I think its more of an afterthought thing they blow all the design budget on complicated parts like engine etc meaning they have to pay some cheap a mcdonalds employee to design the easy stuff

[rofl] [rofl] +BHP for that comparison

Thats why I bought a new hugger from the show......The genuine Kawasaki one.

nice black forks on the white one tho, shock was black too.
green bike still has dark gold forks and shock.

wonder if they've softened the damping a touch for 09 vs 08 like they did for 05 vs 04 after all these complaints of stiffness??

spose its for a better finish/attention to detail or just to tart them up as no new model, like the 07 had black exhaust shields and the green one got colour matched belly & those crazy decals to make them stand out against 06's  :dontknow:

Marketing exercise in overdrive. It's weird how the 09 ZX10R looks worse than the 08. Those silver panels just do not work at all.
