Prisons are a pointless wast of tax payers money....close them all down.
Option 1. real criminals who are unlikely to change their ways should be taken out of society for good...and I dont mean prison as I would close them all down.
Option 2. Those that really can be rehabilitated should be taken into society in a controlled and managed way, they do community service, they learn to care for things and care for the people they harm...by making them more responsible and understanding they can become a better and more useful part of society...but society will only try so many times....
if they dont learn, and keep repeat offending then option 1 above looms on the horizon and sooner or later society has to give up and remove them for good...
Prison is a form of torture and we should not be doing it...we are worse than the criminals if we use such tactics...banning anyone from anything is rarely teaching a lesson other than dont get caught again...Prisons have been around for centuries and they have never worked no matter how bad they were...time for them to be gone...and defintely not the place for mums who dont send their kids to school or for speeding bikers...totally pointless.....
