Hi folks- just signed up to the forum last night
Yesterday I p/x my 2006 zx636 for a 2008 10R.  I also got the free akra pipe.  Pick it up next week and can't wait to get going on it although I think the weather is going to be against me.  I am going to trawl through this form and others this w/e to pick up set up tips.  I have no money left this year for mods but want to know how to get the stock suspension dialed in.  It would help if any of you have some tips they could reply with- I weigh 12.5 stone with kit.  I must admit that I nearly went for the R1 but side by side the 10 just looked awesome.  I test rode all the jap 1000's and the new blade is the best but looks wise the worst and I could never own a Honda!!.  It is so easy to ride fast but its the low down grunt that makes it a winner.  You can just come out corners so much faster then anything else.  Anyway I have the 10 and that is that!!.    Kawasaki's to me are raw and exciting and this is my fourth one so I am staying loyal too them.

good choice in bike.. have a look through the threads.. im just a tad heavier in kit, had my front and rear sorted at revvs suspension and its lots better ! the damper has been revalved and it now works! you will find as standard its pooh! on 18clicks it now almost locks..  :shock:

i posted what he did to my front and rear.. ill try and find it for ya

Thanks for the welcome folks!
I am from Kingston upon Thames, Surrey.  Do most of my riding around the roads of Surrey, Hampshire and sussex.  Just got the 10 insured for only an extra 70 quid for nearly a year (expires next October)  not bad I think as I was expecting to pay at least double the amount I was paying for the 636.  Getting a bit excited about it all.  Went back to the bike shop yesterday to have a chat and anither look at the bike.  Apparently Kawasaki will not get the pipe sent to the shop until the first servive at 600 miles.  Bye for now, will update once I get the machine!!
