It seems to me a few of our (long standing) members are a good few feet up Alistair Stewarts Arse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   And obviously don't ever break the law with small plates race cans and black visors. Well fuck ya!!! for starters you ride ZX10r's for fuck sakes!!! 186 mph missiles and you're preaching about "ooh you're asking for it you are"   Fuck sakes.                                                                                      IIIN30III hats off to ya.

we all have opinions Exj, because we all have differing opinions doesn't mean that anyone is up anyone's arse  :dontknow: ............  I don't recall anyone saying that they never broke the law at all , just because we have 10R's doesn't mean that we wheelie everwhere and race down the highstreet at every oppotunity  [wall]

each to their own  :brave:

as described by N30 he was riding hell for leather through a tunnel with a racefit .... and with that pisstake plate it was always going to happen..............  [wall]

Yep, you said it "each to their own  :brave: "
Thats what biking is all about and stems from..........a mind of your own, emmense fun and a bit of freedom and a big fuck you to the 'establishment'  . Don't you think there is enough facisism out there that want power capping on bikes this and more speed camera's and speed limiters that? I and many others intend to enjoy a motorcycle for what it is, raw unadulterated fun, before the 'do-gooders' finally get their way. IIIN30III was laughing about being pulled and it took the filth 14 yrs to do it. Brilliant! thats because in 14 yrs the only way they've realised to 'nick' people and meet targets is to go for a minority of road users who have no intent of hurting anyone else. Someone has a laugh about the filth taking so long and what he has or hasn't on his bike and then gets 'chastised' for it.

Sorry bad day!!  (also)

Ha ha....seemed to have start a debate whilst I nipped in on Saturday!

My point...was that if you do want to "push the bounds of legality" don't moan when it comes back on you.  Its the risk we take...  And also...if you are riding around, walking the tightrope of legal speeds and know that you don't want to attract attention....don't have a bike that says "Please fucking pull me"!

They are far more likely to let you go on your way or pull you with maybe a telling off if everything else is in order, than if you bike has a raft of legal infringements on it.

I speed, I have no baffles in my zorst and I partake in the odd bit of general tom foolery on the bike....so I'm not preaching!  Just being realistic...

Think about it...if the majority of bikers have the "fuck you all" attitude and play russian roulette with the laws...it makes it very difficult for the Police to overlook other more law abiding bikers.  In other words....if we don't want to pulled more often, don't continue to give them reasons to do so!

And as for the whole tax disc debate....I agree that its all computerised and should allow for some practical means of not needing to display a disc.  But at the end of the day, to licence a vehicle for a road we have to display a valid tax disc!  Until that changes....we're stuck with ugly tax discs making our super cool hyper fast as fuck sports bike look normal!

i ride at weekends and trackdays now... so i'm in the 'loud pipes, stupidly small plate, black visor' brigade. BUT if i was on it everyday, i'd behave differently just because i don't want the hassle or attention.

gripes me how many chav cars there are with illegal exhausts and show plates - and there doesn't seem to be same attention paid to catching them than there is US.  :boxing:

Nah as long as it doesn't have "not for road use"

Well - I was issued with a notice of rectification for no BS sticker - system is a US import Akra and doesn't have "not for road use" stamped on it.

So I bought a BS sticker

I not so long ago got pulled in Asda carpark of all places.
had stopped there for a break and a fag.
just about to get on, up pulls the Pan.. allo allo. Kinda surprised me, thought I was safe in there.
anyway looks the bike over, mmh plates ok he says, sees racefit, oh that's a bit illegal isn't it.
I just laughed and put my hand over my eyes, you didn't see that did you. he smiled and toddled off.
phew lucky day.
